Lately I have come to have a high appreciation for true originality. Whether it be in writing, music, thought, or what have you, a truly original idea is something that seems to elude me. It may be part of my mental makeup, but I seem much more disposed to chose an idea or concept from a list of existing ones as opposed to coming up with something new on my own.

When faced with a problem I would much rather have a few constraints within which to work as opposed to the possibilities for solutions being wide open and endless. That would require creativity and abstract thinking which could, in turn, possibly cause my head to explode. I would rather contrast, compare, and critique others’ ideas and innovations and decide which one I will embrace.

Wait a second…I’m thinking I’ve seen something similar to my Originality logo before.
